Today there is little evidence of their disastrous swaths – now you actually have to look to find it. Time heals physically but mentally this was a major event to get over. Organizations such as Global Green Holy Cross, and Brad Pitt’s Make it Right, helped to provide affordable and “green housing” in the lower 9th ward post Katrina. <\/p>\n
Many years later – post storm – New Orleans is on solid footing and tourism has certainly rebounded. The city boasts affordable prices, fantastic food, friendly locals, a general relaxed way of life, and a diversity of attractions. New Orleans is a multicultural city defined by its history, music and culture; did you know famed French Artist Degas actually lived here for a short time.<\/p>\n
There is nothing else like the French Quarter in the United States. It boasts colorful buildings, rich history, colorful characters, great restaurants, a lively bar scene, a lively nightlife scene including Bourbon Street as the epicenter and visitors from all over the world walking it’s streets. <\/p>\n
Napoleon was granted a house in case he made it to New Orleans during his exile, this is the birthplace of Jazz, and of course is a city synonymous with Mardi Gras.<\/p>\n
